Description: PR Bureau for Emergency Management and Disaster Administration (NMEAD) is charged with the coordination of all resources of the Government of Puerto Rico, as well as those of the private sector to provide the fastest and most effective services before, during and after emergency situations to ensure the protection of the life and property of citizens.Three hundred and sixty two (362) facilities were used as emergency shelters for the time period from 1 June 2019 through to 30 November 2020. In addtion to geographic coordinates, attribute information for these facilities include: facility name, address and municipality where it is located, phone number, NMEAD region, and categorization by type of facility as a school, government center, multipurpose centers, senior centers, hospitals, community centers, cybernetic center, or gymnasium/sports.It is important to note that NMEAD reviews the lists of shelters annually or on an emergency basis. Therefore, the locations reflected here may vary in each emergency.
